Challenging project design
Managing material distribution across three different locations was complex especially transporting the material across the highway! We needed a smart plan to make sure resources were sent to each site on time. Our focus on doing things perfectly meant we could smoothly move materials and meet the specific needs of each location. Using the FTC system, we had to handle six different piles to set up the site just right. This added even more challenge, making it crucial to distribute and control everything accurately across all three fields.

Weather is always a challenge
When heavy rain or mud affects a solar site in North Carolina, it causes several technical challenges beyond safety concerns. Firstly, the machinery used for construction and maintenance may struggle to operate efficiently in muddy conditions, slowing down operations and potentially causing damage to equipment. Secondly, the installation process of solar panels requires precise positioning and alignment, which can be disrupted by muddy terrain, leading to delays and decreased efficiency in energy production. Additionally, excess mud can obstruct access roads and pathways, hindering transportation of materials and personnel to and from the site, further impacting project timelines and efficiency. Overall, mitigating the effects of mud and rain on a solar site requires careful planning, equipment maintenance, and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations, but it will be less efficient and more costly!
